Scorpion Technology Computers as a business was officially established in the early summer of 1998. We are a specialist in providing the very latest in technology products backed up with excellent after sales service. Our main customers were mainly in the small business, home and educational market. Doing mail-ordering business requires a lot of trust between the customers and the supplier. We understood our customer's need to have a dependable supplier who can provide not only good prices but also good backup support. We started this business by selling good quality parts for less money backed up with great warranty and support. In November 1998 we started developing our online computer store which took about a month to complete, and finally in December 1998 our online business was alive under the name of WWW.SCORPTEC.COM.AU. Scorpion Technology was originally started in 1998 from a bedroom, it then expanded to the living room, then the basement, and even the garage was eventually used as storage space. The business grew and grew larger each year, the house was running out of space, we had to make a big decision which was to open a shop front. After months of searching for the perfect location, we finally found it. On the 17th April, 2001, we officially started running our first retail shop from 13 Royton Street, Burwood East, VIC 3151. Our business has grown into a much larger operation, our dedicated staff are growing by the number due to our continuous commitment in improving all aspects of our services for our customers. In just a little more than 2 years, from we grew from 1 staff member to 10 dedicated staff members, and were becoming one of the fastest growing online I.T. companies who are dedicated to provide the best service to our customers. After a year of development, on 8th July 2002 we finally launched our newly improved website which allowed customers to conveniently shop online.
As of 1st May, 2003, after just 2 years of operating from our little shop in Burwood, we're once again forced to move out into a bigger location due to lack of space for storage and operation. We acquired our own warehouse distribution centre & sales office based in Clayton. This is where we have remained, to show our level of commitment and support to our customers.
On August 2005, with about 20 staff we were once again running out of room, so when an opportunity came up, we acquired the building next door which just happened to be available. We converted it into a dedicated Service centre for handling all technical support, system building, product returns and warranties as well as becoming and additional storage and receiving area for our warehouse.
In November 2008, we proudly announced the acquisition of a double storey building in Rowville which became our first ever retail outlet/showroom, boasting approx 600 square metre of space with plenty of on-site parking. The new retail/showroom allowed us to do much more than previously possible. We have a larger retail area as well as demo areas for Apple, Photography, Gaming PCs, Notebooks, Montiors, Cases and Periperhals. This business expansion into Rowville marked a new era for our company. Rowville and the surrounding suburbs was an area of growth and our store location is well situated for accessibility and exposure. With only a few months to spare for renovations and setting up, our operation at Rowville officially begun on January 12, 2009. With this recent expansion, dedication to customer service and continuous improvement and backed up by our now 30 dedicated staff members, Scorptec have kept on growing despite the global economic crisis. We have now since expanded into South Melbourne.
On June 2014, the Clayton head office has moved into a larger showroom integrated with warranty and tech department all under one roof.
In December 2015, our South Melbourne store moved into a much larger premise to better serve our customers.
In June 2017, we started our latest branch office with Macquarie Park, Sydney.
In November 2018, we relocated our Macquarie Park office to our new flagship retail store in Auburn, Sydney.
In September 2019, we opened up our new Macquarie Park branch, Sydney.

We provide our customers with solid knowledge about the products we sell, to give them a better understanding and to be able to make a sound decision before purchasing the product. We also provide solution based services, not merely selling a product on its own that may not meet the customer's full requirement. We can supply fully user customised system configuration to suit the different needs of each user. Our systems range from home, office, business desktop machines to high end gaming PC as well as Servers. Our business expertise is in providing high quality ready made Scorptec computers using the best quality parts and built to the highest level of workmanship standard possible. The effort we put into the system configuration and reliability testing as well as cable and thermal management is second to none. Our business model is customer oriented, we are not the typical online business or retail business that focus only in price, but one that focuses in customer service, support and satisfaction.
You can order and pick-up from our retail location or we can send any part(s) or computer system Australia wide by courier. We accept Eftpos and all major Credit cards (2.0% surcharge applies for Amex creditcards), or you can deposit cash directly into our bank account for faster processing. Our commitment is that we will always strive to improve ourselves so we can better service our customers. In order to improve our turn around time to process orders, we encourage that all orders must be placed on our website prior to pick up.

Upgrades & Maintenance
We can provide upgrades, installations or maintenance of your computer system. All works are guaranteed, if you require to purchase any extra parts we will inform you before we go ahead with the upgrade.
Repairs and Troubleshooting
We do repairs and troubleshooting at our workshop, please contact us to make a booking. Repairs and troubleshooting can be booked in advance, we do not do on the spot services without any prior notice and inspections. We also offer a variety of onsite services to local and Melbourne CBD customers. This service is offered by select appointment times only.
