Ultra-slim fanless media player delivers on connectivity
Shuttle’s XS36V4 is equipped with Intel® Bay Trail platform technology for enhanced system performance and features robust connectivity. Made for Digital Signage, Kiosk, POS, and other vertical applications, the 36mm-thin XS36V4 is VESA mountable and can power peripherals with one RS232 and one RS232/RS422/RS485 com port that both support 0V/5V/12V. The device is equipped with an Intel® Celeron J1900 quad-core processor with integrated Intel® HD graphics, capable of playing multiple full HD video formats and delivers dual display content via D-Sub, DisplayPort, and HDMI. The XS36V4 is 24/7 certified with a fanless cooling design and uses a mere 40W adapter, built to meet the demands of vertical markets for continuous, energy-efficient operation.
Fanless Design
The XS36V4 uses a thermal module with cooled heat pipes to transmit heat throughout the system quickly and evenly. The fanless design reduces power consumption required by a fan as well as the cost of replacing fans on-site. Use with solid-state disks and create an operational platform completely free of noise.
Full HD video content support
Broadcast digital messages in Full HD video via built-in D-sub, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Users can now send video and sound signal through a single wire with HDMI and DisplayPort connection.
The Max resolution:
D-sub port: 1920x1200
HDMI port: 1920x1200
DisplayPort: 2560x1600
Connectivity with Com Ports
The XS36V4 features two RS232 ports (one RS232 and one RS232/RS422/RS485) which both support 0V/5V/12V. Connect with barcode scanners, receipt printers, keypads, and other peripherals. The XS36V4 is easily configured into peripheral-heavy POS, Kiosk, and Digital Signage systems.
USB3.0 high speed transmission
Built-in a USB 3.0 port at the rear panel provides high-speed transmission. USB 3.0 supports up to 5 Gbps and provides 10 times greater data access speed than USB 2.0 port.
24/7 Nonstop Operation
Officially approved for 24/7 permanent operation. Thanks to Shuttle’s low power consumption design and stable operation, the PC runs highly reliable and meets the long-term demands of digital signage or other vertical applications.
The Watchdog—protecting system security
Watchdog Timer provides excellent security protection for systems that need to operate continuously for a long period of time. Use Shuttle’s Watch Dog utility to maintain normal operation and stability of the system at all times.
Operating System support
Window 8/ 8.1 Intel® Bay Trail Platform Technology
The XS36V4 is equipped with low-power consumption Intel® Bay Trail platform technology. The 22 nm Intel® Celeron® J1900 CPU integrates Intel® HD Graphics and saves energy with support for DDR3L low-voltage memory modules.
Dual Display Output
The XS36V4 supports dual display imaging via 1) D-Sub + HDMI, 2) D-Sub + DisplayPort, and 3) HDMI + DisplayPort configurations. Diversify signal selection with an adaptor to convert HDMI into DVI interface and DisplayPort into HDMI or DVI.
Support wire and wireless high-speed networks
The XS36V4 has built-in 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN interface and supports Wake On LAN function. With a built-in IEEE802.11b/g/n wireless network* module, transmission rates reach up to 300 Mbps, significantly enhancing the system’s data transfer efficiency and operating time.
*Please refer to spec sheet for detailed WiFi support.
VESA Mount-Ready
The slim XS36V4 is VESA mount compliant and allows for versatile integration into hardware systems. This space saving capability is well-suited for digital signage and kiosk applications with limited space.
Support Power on by RTC
By entering BIOS to set up the Power on by RTC, Shuttle’s XS36V4 allows user to set a time to boot up the system, which can also be turned on and off with the Windows task scheduler. This feature will benefit on the electricity and energy saving as well as the elimination the cost of on-site service.
