Payment Methods

Below you will find information regarding the various payment methods we accept.

Cash Last updated: 26-Oct-2008

  • We accept cash payment. Remember that EFTPOS is not CASH, so select EFTPOS instead if you want to pay using EFTPOS.
  • There is NO surcharge for CASH/EFTPOS/DIRECT DEPOSIT payments

EFTPOS Last updated: 26-Oct-2008

  • Just like any ATM machines, our EFTPOS terminal also have the same daily withdrawal limit of $800-$1000. When placing your order, please make sure you are aware of this limits. 
  • To be sure, you should check your EFTPOS withdrawal limit with your bank. You can request to increase your withdrawal limit by contacting your bank. 
  • There is NO surcharge for CASH/EFTPOS/DIRECT DEPOSIT payments
  • We accept all EFTPOS cards. Paying by EFTPOS is only available for pickup only. Cash outs is not available

 

Direct Deposit Last updated: 07-Nov-2009

  • Paying by direct deposit is the best payment method that can save you from the usual banking/surcharge fees associated with credit cards and BPAY.

  • Before making any payment, please wait till your order number has been issued (not still showing as TBA) and make sure you put down the order number and your surname on your direct deposit payment reference details and once paid, log in to your Scorptec Account and go to your order to enter your payment details such as amount paid and transaction reference in your order. This will allow us to process your order first by being able to easily identify your payment.
  • Alternatively can use BPAY for the added convenience and security to ensure your payment will be paid to the correct account. However there will be a 1% bank surcharge fee added to your order and the payment turnaround time is a bit quicker, typically within 24 hours.
  • Payments made through other banks (such as National, Commonwealth, ANZ, etc) may take up to 24-48 hours to be shown in our account
  • If the bank used to pay from is Westpac then your direct deposit will normally appear immediately but it may also take up to 24 hours to show up depending on whether you have made a payment to us previously or not. 
  • Alternatively, if you do a 'cash' deposit in any Westpac branch this will allows the fund to show up in our account instantly and thus allowing us to process and dispatch your order as soon as possible. You must make sure that a cash deposit is done at Westpac, otherwise an inter-bank processing delay of up to 48 hours may occur. For direct deposit orders, you may proceed with full payment if all items in your order is in stock otherwise please beware that we still need to confirm your order for availability details on non stocked items. 
  • We must wait for the funds to show as cleared fund in our bank account before we can ship or release any orders.
  • Internet banking transfer is also subject to daily withdrawal limit, you can contact your bank to increase this limit
  • If you made a split/part payment, please use the same description on all payments (order number, surname)

Credit Card - On Pickup Last updated: 26-Oct-2008

  • If you would like to pay using your credit card in-store when you pickup your order, please choose this payment method
  • The credit card holder must be present with the actual credit card when picking up from our store as we need to process the payment in store using the card and obtain and verify the authorised signature .
  • Paying by credit card incurs a 2% surcharge for VISA/Mastercard, and 4% for Diners/AMEX on top of your total cost.
  • We do not manually process your credit card payment, it is electronically done so rejected/expired/stolen card numbers will be automatically checked on our system. Our credit card/eftpos machines are using the latest security technology. 
  • If you are picking up on behalf of someone else who is paying and can not present the card, then please download the credit card authorisation form below, the person picking up the order must also be providing a driver license/photo ID which we will be photocopying as a proof of pickup. The creditcard holder detail will be verified and must be approved by us first before you can come to collect the goods.
  • We reserve the right to verify the credit cards and refuse payment by credit card under any circumstances, also if necessary we may request a fax of the credit card detail before releasing the goods.

Credit Card - Call Me Last updated: 26-Oct-2008

  • Credit card payments will incur a 2% surcharge when paid by VISA/Mastercard or 4% for Diners/AMEX. Alternatively you may pay using BPAY and still use your creditcard through your online or phone banking. BPAY only attracts 1% surcharge, however this may take up to 24 hours to process.
  • Your credit card payment will be electronically processed and verified so any invalid/expired/reported stolen card numbers will be automatically rejected and flagged on our system. 
  • We will always call and request to speak to the credit card holder and the name, address and phone number on the order must match the listing on White Pages. This is a necessary security measure to help us verify your credit card details over the phone rather than getting your creditcard information online. We do not accept creditcards over email or any other methods. 
  • The credit card holder must be the same person who placed the order and is the same person in the billing detail. 
  • Your contact, billing and delivery details will be used to verify you. Unless all your details can be verified, we may refuse to accept payment by credit card, and if necessary we may request a scan/fax of your driver license and credit card to help verify your identity. Please assist us by providing necessary and accurate information to establish your identity as any unlisted number/address may delay the processing of your order.
  • If we are unable to verify your details or if you placed a rather large amount in your order, we will need to verify your credit card by using a 'token verification' method. You will need to confirm a small 'random amount' less than $5 that will be 'temporarily placed' on your creditcard within 5 days (it will automatically disappear after 5 days) to verify that you are the rightful owner of the creditcard. We do appreciate your patience and understanding during this once-off verification process. You may be able to verify this token amount by calling your bank/creditcard institution and ask for the amount that been 'reserved' or temporarily charged. Once your credit card has been 100% fully verified, your orders in the future will no longer be subjected to any further credit card verifications. 
  • We do take our credit card security and verification seriously. Any attempts on credit card frauds will be immediately reported to police.

 

Cash On Delivery Last updated: 26-Oct-2008

  • For Cash on deliveries, we offer Australia POST COD as a payment service for shipping small items only (less than 3kg), valued under $500. 
  • This payment method cost require the customer to collect the goods and pay at their local post office.

BPAY Last updated: 07-Nov-2009

SECURITY WARNING: Due to an increase in online banking frauds, we advise that all 'first time' customers using BPAY as payment will be fully verified first before orders can be dispatched, so there could be a minor delay as a result. Any fraudulent or suspicious activities will be reported to the law enforcement authorities immediately.

  • BPAY is the most secure payment method for customers because you can pay using your creditcard or savings/cheque account using your own online/phone banking account
  • Funds transferred using BPAY shows up faster in our account within 24 hours, in normal business days, as compared to paying using direct deposit which may take up to 24-48 hours
  • Using BPAY will attract a 1% surcharge fee on top of your order. The good news is that it is still 1%-3% cheaper compared to if you are paying directly using your creditcard on our website. The benefit of paying using your credit card online on our website is it can be processed immediately, but if you are a new customer, you'll be subjected to our creditcard verification process which can take up to 24-48 hours.
  • Call your bank, credit union or building society or login to your internet banking to make a payment from your cheque, savings or credit card account. 
  • We recommend BPAY if you want to save yourself the higher fees on using creditcards, or for added security and when your order is not so urgent and you can wait for the payment to show up in our account within 24 hours. If you are paying using creditcard and your billing/delivery details can not be verified, we may also ask that you use BPAY instead.
