Hi guys,

Time for me to change things around in my rig once again, so I have up for sale my very shiny, very horny -----

eVGA 790i Ultra Motherboard, plus box, plus absolutely every other single thing that came with it new, is included.
ie cables, discs, SLI bridge, 3way-SLI bridge, etc etc.

As you know this is the pimp daddy, the king of the kong, the best 755 socket Nvidia motherboard.

As you can see in the other for sale threads, I have recently sold my 3 x 8800GTX videocards, and I'm just using a single GTX275 for now, hence,
no need for the 790i board.

And before you ask, sorry no, I am not selling my Q9650 with it, that will stay to play in a P45 chipset (single PCI-e slot) board that will tie me over until I can afford to go the i7 route.

So back to the point at hand, the board is as new, clean, dust free, ready to go. It has been my baby, so its been looked after extremely well. Priced for quick sale.

Its been flashed to the lastest BIOS, so you don't have to put yourself through that scary process.
It will also come with 2 x spare BIOS chips, that I purchased from the USA.

I'll be sorry to see it go, but will be glad to see it go to another SLI enthusiast.

If you have questions, please fire away.

Also to hijack my own thread, I have a TRUE 120 heatsink and mounting for 755 socket CPU if anyone is interested. As new. You know what they're worth, make me an offer.
Also a Thermaltake Power Express 650watt VGA power supply. Plus all cables etc. Runs concurrently with your exsisting PSU to allow you to run more VGA cards. As new. Again, you know what they're worth, make me an offer.

Cheers

Hi mate,

Yes, sorry I won't be selling the RAM with it.
However, they do work great together. I can definitely recommend OCZ RAM to anyone who buys the 790i ultra (or any Nvidia board in fact, 680i thru to 790i)

Thanks mate

Hi mate,

Yes it is tricky, you need to be careful. Make sure you get dual channel DDR3 for chipsets like the P45, for i7 boards you need triple channel DDR3.

I've just bought these: http://www.scorptec.com.au/computer/351 ... p1600lv4gk

to run in this board: http://www.scorptec.com.au/computer/313 ... p45t-ud3lr

Scorptec still has a big range of dual channel DDR3 if you're looking

Cheers bud

Ah right, I didn't realise that. Why is that? Does that chipset only support a very limited range of RAM?

apparently some sets will work and some sets wont apparently this is due to the diiference in the mch latencies and spd settings. see i thoguht you were just going to use your ocz 2000mhz ram with the p45 :S other google searches reveal very little some people say that it should work and you just need to up the voltage a little more even asked on atomic and got like 1 response lol.

go to here and read throguh this its very brief so not much reading but a guy from corsair expresses some doubt:

Well I can confirm, the OCZ DDR3 2000Mhz RAM does work in the P45 board I just bought. As does the OCZ 1600Mhz RAM.
I'm running 4 x 2Gb and its worked straight up, no dramas. So I guess I got lucky!

Unfortunately I will now have to sell my GTX275, as the factory aftermarket cooler on it, is so big it blocks 4 of my SATA ports!

DOH! Sometimes, you just can't win!

Anyway, back to topic. The eVGA 790i Ultra board, is now boxed up and ready to go to its new home. *sniff*

Who's keen to adopt this baby!?!

Yeah, the OCZ RAM with Gigabyte boards has been a great combination for me for the last 3 years or so, both brilliant products.
