Credit card verification steps and procedures
Credit Card Verifications:
In order to bring our customers the convenience and safety of online credit card payment we have now implemented a robust credit card verification procedure. We have incorporated a safety mechanism feature used by banks and creditcard companies designed to protect all creditcard customers as well as the owner of the credit card from any fraudulent use. Because of this, please keep in mind that your credit card details will always be required to be entered each time you place an online credit card order with us. For safety measures, we do not store your credit cards information within your account so if anyone have gained access to your account, they will not be able to make purchases and pay using your creditcard details. All credit card details entered online will be securely transmitted to our local server in encrypted format using the latest technology approved by industry standards.Verification Types:
There are two types of verification process, Token and Manual verification. Token Verification is a verification process by which Scorptec will generate a 'PRE-AUTHORISATION' small random amount which will be 'reserved' from your credit card and then once you have verified what that correct amount is, you will achieve a Token Verified status. In contrast, Manual verification is usually be done using existing information that you provided and will be checked against Whitepages or any other relevant source of information. Manually verified order is typically approved on per order basis, based on the ability to provide customer details that can be verified, and is restricted with certain order value limitation.Token Verification
This verification process will be mandatory for any new customer who placed their first credit card order with the order value being higher than $500 UNLESS your contact and delivery details are easily verifiable. To be able to benefit the online ordering using credit card payment facilities and be confident that your order will be processed immediately in the future, we strongly encourage customers to get themselves Token Verified so they can achieve a Fully Verified Status. Our Token verification process involves a once off only process with the customer’s first credit card order.
3 Steps for Token Verification:
1. Enter Credit Card Details (or for Credit Card Call Me, we will call you to get your credit card detail)
The process begins with customer entering their credit card details online. A small random amount of less than $5 which will be 'reserved' from the creditcard account. This token amount will show up in the customer credit card account either immediately or within 24-48 hours.
2. Check Token
Within 24-48 hours, you need to check your credit card statement/account by calling your credit card company or if you have an online access, you can also view your credit card transactions. This token amount will be showing on the customer credit card but may also be hidden as its not a direct charge. You must verify what the value of the token is within 5 days in order to achieve a 'Fully Verified' Status. After 5 days, the amount that was reserved will expire and disappear from the account so the customer will not be charged for this verification process. If you do not have the information within 24-48 hours please contact us immediately and we will arrange for a 'direct' charge rather than 'reserve' method.
3. Enter Token to Verify
Customer can achieve the verified status by entering the correct token amount by logging into their account on our website. You have two opportunities to enter the amount. Once the amount has been verified as being correct, you will then achieve a fully verified status on your account. The customer will also able to place any orders in the future without any restrictions to their order value or delivery address or being subjected to further verifications.
Manual Credit Card Verification
The Manual Credit card Verification involves checking of your details in the order such as billing, delivery address and contact numbers. Customer detail should be easily verifiable, contactable and listed on Whitepages. This verification method will restrict the customer to have their first order sent only to their registered address (no 3rd party address will be accepted) as well as being contactable on a landline which is listed on the Whitepages. You may also be required to provide additional details such as a fax/scanned copy of a photo ID, such as your driver licence, credit card, or bills. This verification process may also limit your order values to below $500 for the period of one month.
