Our History
Scorpion Technology as a business was officially established in the early summer of 1998. We are a specialist in providing the very latest in technology products backed up with excellent after sales service. Our main customers were mainly in the small business, home and educational market. Doing mail-ordering business requires a lot of trust between the customers and the supplier. We understood our customer's need to have dependable supplier who can provide not only good prices but also good backup support. We started this business by selling good quality parts for less money and back it up with good warranty and support. In November 1998 we started developing our online store which took about a month to complete, and finally in December 1998 our online business was alive under the name of WWW.SCORPTEC.COM.AU. Scorpion Technology was originally started in 1998 from a bedroom, it then expanded to the living room, then the basement, and even the garage was eventually used as storage space. The business grew and grew larger each year, the house was running out of space, we then had to make a big decision which was to open a shop front. After months of searching for the perfect location, we finally found it. On the 17th April, 2001, we are officially running our first retail shop from 13 Royton Street, Burwood East, VIC 3151. Our business have grown into a much larger operation, our dedicated staff is growing by the number due to our continuous commitment in improving all aspects of our services for our customers. In just a little more than 2 years, from 1 staff to 10 dedicated staff members, we're becoming one of the fastest growing company, who is dedicated to provide the best service to our customers. After a year of development, on 8th July 2002 we finally launched our newly improved website which will now allow customers to conveniently shop online.
As of 1st May, 2003, after just 2 years of operating from our little shop in Burwood, we're once again forced to move out into a bigger location due to lack of space for storage and operation. We have fully acquired our own warehouse distribution centre/office based in Clayton, which we will call our home base or new headquarter, no longer renting and having to move around, this is where we'll stay, to show our level of commitment and support to our customers.
On August 2005, with about 20 staff we are again running out of room, so when the opportunity came up, we acquired the next door building which just happen to be available. We have converted it into a dedicated Service center for handling all technical support, system building, product returns and warranties as well as becoming the additional storage and receiving area for our warehouse. Our most recent update in 2007, with continuous improvement on our website and dedication to customer service, we are currently made of a team of 23 and are again running out of room. We are looking at expanding again in 2008, so stay tuned!

PLEASE NOTE: To give you the best and most efficient service, we recommend that customer place an internet order prior to pickup. (You can still place your order when you come in but be prepared to wait, as there may be some delays during the busy periods)

Our services ranging from providing information about a product, to supplying the product as well as to support the finish product to the end user. We only offer the latest and greatest of innovative high quality computer products. We provide our customers with a good 'knowledge' about the product we sell, to get a better understanding and to be able to make a sound decision before buying the product. We also provide a good solution, not merely selling a product which does not meet our customers requirement. We can supply fully user customised system configuration to suit the different needs of each user.
You can order and pick-up from our warehouse or we can send any part(s) or computer system Australia wide either by courier or Australia Post COD (limited to $500 or small items only). We accept Eftpos and all major Credit cards (a 2% surcharge applies for VISA/Mastercard and 4% for Diners/Amex creditcards), Australia Money Orders, Australia Post COD (Cash On Delivery) or you can deposit cash directly into our bank account for faster processing and despatch. Our commitment is that we will always strive to improve ourselves so we can better service our customers. In order to improve our turn around time to process orders, we encourage that all orders must be placed on our website prior to pick up.

Upgrades & Maintenance
We have a flat rate workshop fee of $50/hour charge to perform upgrades, installations or maintenance of your computer system. All works are guaranteed, if you require to purchase any extra parts we will inform you before we go ahead with the upgrade. All upgrades performed carries a full 1 year Return to base warranty on labor and parts (This applies only to parts bought from us).
Repairs and Troubleshootings
To do repairs and troubleshootings at our workshop, we charge a flat fee of $50 for the 1st hour and then $30 for the half hour thereafter. Should the repair takes longer than an hour we will inform you before we go ahead with it. Repairs and troubleshootings must be booked in advance, we do not do on the spot services.
